Monster's Story

Monster is my dog, it's a maltese.
It was initially named cherish.

I had this relationship with someone 2yrs+ back and we decided to have a pet of our own just like watching our kids grow. So we name it cherished, hoping that we will cherish each other just like how we cherish it. However things does not goes well for both of us, none of us were to blame and we parted and i kept the dog. I watched him grow up since the day i bring him to my home, from a puppy to a cute handsome young dog. It became very michievious as day passby, and my parents object me from keeping it. Partly i feel because they were afraid that i could'nt get out of the R/S. They did not know i was fine and i made my promise i will watch him grow old myself like a daddy. My parents always tried to give him off away to others and due to their actions, it heats me up. I often quarrelled with them, cold war for months just to let my dog stay with me. I feel that since i brought him to my life, i shouldn't neglect it. So my sister name him Monster as he was too mischievious. Fair enough, his funny acts won the heart of my parents and they fell in love with its mischievious-ness and innoncence. He'll never fail to hop by our side whenever he is awake, and sleep with us when we're asleep. I felt really relieved when they stopped asking me to give it off to others, for that i really thank god for the change of situation. To be frank, i did not even had a pic with him. I never bring him to nice places like east coast park for a stroll like my sister do. I know i will never have the chance anymore.

It went missing last night around 1am when i was asleep and my parents were burning their offerings to god. When must parents were backed, the pastic cover that is to stop it from sneaking out of home was misplaced. It broke free and never came back home anymore. Just when i was about to work mum told me about what happened.

Firstly i wanna apologize to my boss becaused i lied to her, i wasn't sick, i'm sorry.

So i began my search from 6am to 3pm. I walked around the whole estate looking for clues, i printed a lost port folio of monster hopefully someone would be nice to return me. I spend hours pasting around the estate, and it was worth it. Because i really want my boy back to my life. I made police reports, i made reports to SPCA, i still had hope within me until SPCA called and told us a maltese was knocked down by a car at Street 21. I was staying at street 71 and i had much confidence it was not monster but it turn out the be vice versa. It's body was cold, head was twisted and all our hearts were shattered in the family. At the point of time i really wished it got lost and was adopted by a family instead of ending its pity life. He was only 2yrs old this year. Tears rolled down my eyes, i bet you guys cant feel the pain in me. After all the pain and after all the circumstances it truthfully become a member of the family. Now that i don't have a chance to take a last picture with it, bring it for a last stroll... I totally regretted my life. I hereby wish you all the best in heaven Monster, may you watch us and keep us safe. Although this might be the last article about Monster but to me there isn't any last chapter. He will be forever living in my heart, 2 yrs of happiness in a lifetime.

I know this blog is getting rusty, as i don't have much time either.
Work and drink simply explains my life right now.

Finish work at 6, head off to town for gym session till 11pm.
Went home for shower and headed down to bq all the way till 6 in the morning.
Reached home at 7am+ in the morning dragging my feet home.
Sometimes i find that its a joke to see ppl just starting their day exercising or buying groceries when i'm just about to go to bed. That's the definition of healthy lifestyle i have.

I never realize there are so many talented singers until i went down to support my brother BAI. It's not that we don't have talents, because singing in Singapore won't bring you far in life so hidden talents are actually everywhere. It's my buddy's first ever singing competition and now he is top 10! He is so nervous actually and keep on telling me he wont be able to make it. Actually he drank 8 cans of beer before the competition starts just to calm down. The funny part was, even the emcee could smell it standing right beside him. When questioned whether did he drank before to competition, everyone burst into laughter, HAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm starting to have backache, and i think soon i need a specs for sitting and facing my work desk daily. I can feel that my eye sights are getting poor as day goes by, o.m.g, i used to be perfect eyesight and a marksman in police force. So much about work, thank god i have super nice colleagues. Just like when i step in to office, my colleagues helped me clean up my table, keyboard because they say it's so messy. Makes me feel good at the start of the work. They bought me pizzas, muffins and stationary, that explains how much i enjoy working daily but not OT. Been doing OT lately, and i'm really getting tired.

Sometimes it's better not to know things that you shouldnt know.

Friday

As usual, Over-Time is making me crazy this week but i'm not gonna do it on a friday.
Dinner at home, watched 溏心風暴 and 10 i'm almost to bed. Just as i was almost half asleep, Nixon called. I knew it's either i'm drinking somewhere or it's gonna be a long long night of rest which i yearn for the whole of this week. Forget about the part why i picked his call which i've got no idea, but anyway we went to Le-bar. 2 bottles of VSOP and a bucket of beer, which i initially wanted 2 bottles of macallan 12 instead. Finished all the drinks within 3hours, supper at pongol before dropping CH and home sweet home.

Yesterday

Met chimpanzee at town for dinner after work.
It was Swensen that came to my mind first however closed down, so Waraku.
Food was so-so, dosen't stirs my taste bud up.

Okay i gotta admit i'm a west-side idiot and i'm so gonna know how am i gonna go to the west next time if i have to HAHA.

I was soon knock out not long after a good shower.

Today
Coffee + Sandwich for breakfast.
Work loads is really killing me especially when one is sick, you have to do double job. Work load also increases heavily after a public holiday, and although you enjoy a day off, the very next working day you have to clear the mess up.
I skipped my lunch today due to heavy work loads which somehow or rather made me lost appetite. I had 15mins smoke break and i went back to clear my mess, sometimes i can be quite a workaholic. O.T till 7.30pm, and i think i finished off 3/4 of my work. HSBC put up papers about their benefits, so i'm mentally prepared my days will be screwed somehow or rather.

FYI: Level 15 is not that difficult actually :p

A little update about my working place.
It's quite far, at Alexandra Terrace. Thankfully there is shuttle bus service provided from raffles place, so i can wake up at 6.30am which is slightly abit later than i have to take bus at HarbourFront. I'm working with HSBC bank, and my job scopes are settling credit card applications for customers and something to do with loans with HSBC. Everyday i will be viewing every applicant's CPF account, which came to my shock, some had CPF of $4000+ per month. 20% makes 4000, 100% = 20k per month, DADDDY!!!! hahaha. I realise that actually being rich is quite common in Singapore, just that you have to work harder than everyone else. I've never use lotus notes in my life and now, i'm a pro lol. Guess how busy can i be? I just had 16 tabs on my taskbar, i call it EXTREME MULTITASK till my com hang. That's something about what i'm doing from Monday to Friday. Keeps me tired everyday till i don't feel like going out and go to bed before 12 lol. Gonna club this SAT! SOHO!!!!!

Still down with cough and flu, have been a good boy for the past few days. Nixon was quarantined and was not able to leave his house until results of the test. Glenn visited the doctor today and he told me as long as there is no fever or sudden increase in body temperature, i'm safe. Therefore, i did not seek medical attention today. I'm still taking medications my own because i've accumulated lots of medication from the past 2 yrs in NS enough for me to open a mini pharmacy. So meanwhile hope i'll get well soon :(

SINGAPORE: Singapore has confirmed another 16 new cases of H1N1.

Seven are local and nine has travel history, bringing the total number of H1N1 cases in Singapore to 142.

A third cluster of locally—infected cases has also been identified at popular nightclub Butter Factory at One Fullerton.

The new case is a 19—year—old Singaporean female student. She visited the club on June 17 when three previously reported cases were also there.

The Health Ministry has advised all those who had visited Butter Factory on June 17 to monitor their health and seek medical attention if they feel unwell.

Anyway i had my weird dream during my 3 hours nap @ 6pm. Today was my last day being a police officer. I dream that i was arrested for Sec 8(b) cap185. CNB officers arrested me for taking drugs and i kept running away from them. Do you guys ever wonder whenever in dream, you can't really run fast? That works pretty weird for me every dream. At the end of the story, i was a undercover for CNB HAHA! Am i starting to miss my job? I guess not with the politics and the screw up management's existence.

SINGAPORE: Mas Selamat Kastari, Singapore's Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) leader who escaped from Whitley Road Detention Centre on February 27 last year, has been arrested.

The terrorist, who once plotted to hijack a plane and crash it into Changi Airport, was arrested in Malaysia in a joint intelligence operation involving the internal security agencies of the two countries.

It is understood that Mas Selamat was actually arrested over a month ago but had been under interrogation in Malaysia.

It is believed that the fugitive will soon be brought back to Singapore.

Last December, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had said: "He is one up on us, but the game is not over. One day we will catch him."

Most security experts had expected the fugitive to head for Indonesia, where other JI members are believed to be based. So, it came as a surprise to some that he was arrested in Malaysia.

Mas Selamat gave his guards the slip while he was being taken to the toilet at the detention centre.

The escape sparked the largest manhunt in Singapore's history. Thousands of police and military personnel were roped in to comb the island for the fugitive. Checks at the borders were stepped up, road blocks were set up, officers went house to house, and forested areas were swept.

There were also offers of a million dollar reward by two businessmen for his capture.

Mas Selamat, however, remained elusive although dozens of illegal immigrants were flushed out. Posters bearing his face and description were put up everywhere and every mobile phone here was sent either a text description or a picture of him.

Mas Selamat's escape also resulted in the dismissal of the detention centre's superintendent over security lapses. The superintendent's deputy was demoted.

The two were the most senior officers in charge of the ground management of the detention centre, and were among six Internal Security Department (ISD) officers charged over the escape.

Mas Selamat fled Singapore in December 2001 following an Internal Security Department operation against the terrorist organisation.

The militant leader had been on the run after Singapore authorities discovered plans to crash seven trucks filled with bombs at various locations around the island.

Investigations also revealed that he was the mastermind behind a plan to hijack an airplane and crash it into Changi airport.

Mas Selamat was arrested by the Indonesian police on Bintan island in January 2006. He was detained for using a fake identity card.

When he was arrested, officers found literature on bomb-making on him. Based on investigations then, Indonesia's elite anti-terror police then discovered he was the leader of the Singapore Jemaah Islamiyah network.

They then deported him to Singapore, where he was detained at Whitley Road Detention Centre under the Internal Security Act.

The 48-year-old father of four was said to be involved in JI's plans to mount attacks against foreign and local establishments in Singapore.

These included the US Embassy and American Club, the Defence Ministry headquarters at Bukit Gombak and the Education Ministry building at North Buona Vista Drive. - CNA/TODAY/de

I guess u guys heard about the food poisoning at geylang serai which causes Death?

The old malay lady was celebrating her birthday over at geylang serai for indian rojak passed away. I heard about it and i did not really watched the news and it was then i find out it was my canteen aunty @ Bedok. I was on 2 days mc and till i finally get back to work for morning shift, as usual having my breakfast than i find out she was one of the victim. Bit of sad, though we ain't one of her relatives but still we are eating her food like almost everytime when we are working. Gotta miss this nice old lady, who is always smiling and courteous and definitely gotta miss her food.

Was working yesterday for night shift when suddenly CH called me and told me bad news about CE's dad. Was extremely shock and was really very sorry to hear that, my deepest condolences and hope he could pull through this tough period with us together. I finished work in the morning, intended to visit CE in the noon. Just before i went out, mum ask where i was heading to so i told her what happen. Mum than told me that it was best i could avoid visiting funerals because she went to pray for the family and we are not supposed to participate in "XI SHI" or "SHANG SHI"(eg. bday party or funeral) within 12 days and today is only day 4. Sorry i couldn't make it, but i promise after day 12 i will be there to see you for the first thing. May uncle Tan rest in peace, and i sure he will.

My deepest condolences.

Thinking about what happen to CE teaches me a lesson, that's to cherish everything before it's too late to do so. Now that this wakes me up, i guess i had to cherish my dad too because it's a blessing to see each other daily. Sad thing is we did not really talk to each other for nearly 7yrs. It's not what i want, but it's really very hard to start communicating, but i know my dad still cares for me alot.

Dinner and dance on the 6th, Mafia Nights held at orchard hotel. Food was so-so, but it was really fun to see fellow colleagues from different NPCS dressed up like Mafias. The night was even more funny with "Kumar" appearing on stage. His racist jokes almost made me choked while eating. Emcee Justin was damn funny too, which i think was more hilarious than Kumar with his brainless jokes. Oh did i mention i was so closed to winning a LAPTOP? The lucky draw number was 8235 for it, mine number was 8233. Just imagine how close am i? Anyway it's Zhen Yue who won it, so i'm still happy for him!

Watched 7 pounds yesterday, overall quite a acceptable movie. Story line was AWESOME but it was a little to draggy till i almost fall asleep and took a smoke break in the midst of watching. A very touching movie, i rate it 3.5/5. Had supper at kembangan, than headed down to Loyang Tua peh gong temple to pray for a better 2009.

It was a very bad year for me, it screw my 21 years standing on my feet.
- I lost my loviest pet, 11years with me.
- I got into a relationship, but it turn out to be relationSHIT.
- I screwed myself at work, might get charged.

Tonight is night shift, this is my last post of 2008.

Hope 2009 will be a merrier one, and things i learnt this year.

Back from jack's r-o-m, been such a long time since i last saw him. Congratz to the newly weds, Jasmine and Jack. Buffet was nice, had a good time eating, drinking. First time celebrating a r-o-m in a pub too, kinda cool. Last but not least, hope we'll have a toddler to play with soon. Before the clock strikes 12, a very last wish of 2008 to everyone. Merry X'MAS! May uncle Santa bring each and everyone of us luck and hope, and bring all our rotten stuffs away once X'MAS is over, like in 1hour and 15mins later.

Summary of what we've done.

Not the fun-est X'MAS celebrated together, but definitely the best day of 2008 bonded together with so many friends around. Went to DK's house for mahjong before the dinner, had steamboat for the night. So super bloated, just can't stop eating like Brandon. After which we had a mini-excercise, playing Nintendo WII. Thinking of where to go, town's definitely out because we ain't kids whom enjoys spraying and getting sprayed. Don't you think it's so stupid to do some countdown shit at orchard without some party? It's just like 5-4-3-2-1 BOOM, OVER AND WHAT-TO-DO-NEXT -.- Some went to drink (Seb,Ray,Roy), Jer to club, we went to E-hub for movie because we've got no more ideas where to go. Caught bedtime stories, was not a bad show afterall. After which, we went down to Simpang Bedok for supper and finally back home.
